IV:C has been re-enabled. The entire engine has been re-written, and is in Beta Testing phase. Please read all instructions, and report any bugs, or errors immediately! We can't fix what we don't know is broken.
The Ivalice MUD Companion (IVC) is a stand-alone program that receives queues, mostly music, from Ivalice MUD and plays them in the IVC program. Queues can be anything from battle music, to video for certain events. It also displays an Graphical Overhead Map while on the Overworld.
Since IVC is a stand alone program, it is compatible with any connection method, including Java and 'Raw Telnet' connections.
At this time, IVC is available only for Windows compatible operating systems, and requires the .NET Framework.
Installation Instructions
- Download IV:C & Extract
- Run IvaliceCompanion.exe
If you get a run-time error:
- Run ERROR SETUP - RUNE ONCE.exe - This will install a few required system files that you were missing. These files are just automatically installed, because many systems already have them installed. Normally this could be checked with a setup program, but there IS no setup program, as it's not needed in most cases.
- The first time you run IVC, you will need to push 'Start' - it will then prompt for your account name - This is the name you use to log in to Ivalice with a password - your CHARACTER name is not needed. Please note: IVC does not require any password - just the account name.

Known Bugs
- Vista doesn't like the Volume bar on the right too much. It may or may not work for Vista machines.
- Some visual themes Vista applies may make the image/buttons looks odd. Unfortunately the only way to fix this would be to apply old textures to everything, which would make it look like Win95 :/
